Preparation Of Charcoal

Grind flaxseed or corn search may be added to the charcoal mixture to keep the poultice from becoming dry.  Mix 1 to 3 large spoonfuls of ground flaxseed or 2 large spoonfuls of corn starch to a cup of boiling water and mix with charcoal to get a paste. 
Spread the charcoal paste mixture on half of a cloth or paper towel, fold the other half of the cloth or paper towel over the charcoal paste. 
Gently place the poultice on top of the affected skin area. Cover the entire poultice with a piece of plastic or waterproof material to keep it from drying out. 

CAUTION 
It is best not to put the charcoal powder directly on the skin if the skin is cut or broken. Sometimes charcoal can give a tattooing effect if the skin is broken. 

Charcoal Bath
A charcoal bath is the immersion of the body or part of the body in water-containing charcoal. 
Charcoal bath is excellent for individuals with skin disorders such as atopic dermatitis, infections, skin irritations, Eczema, for anti-bacterial, deodorizing, detoxifying.

CONTRAINDICATIONS FOR ACTIVATED CHARCOAL


You may take charcoal intermediately for long periods or regularly for up to 12 weeks. 
However, it should not be taken regularly for extended periods of over 12 weeks. Do not give charcoal to an unconscious person.

OTHER USES OF CHARCOAL. 

ACTIVATED CHARCOAL FOR DIARRHEA TREATMENT

Charcoal is one of the most effective treatments for diarrhea. 

For adults, add 2 heap tablespoons of charcoal in a glass of charcoal water 4 times per day. Drink one more glass of charcoal water followed by one glass of clear water for each additional watery stool. Use one-half of the adult dose of charcoal for children. 

Watch for dehydration, and prepare an oral rehydration therapy drink. 

TREATING NAUSEA  AND VOMITING WITH  ACTIVATED CHARCOAL

Give the adult dose [1 to 2 large spoonfuls in ½ glass of water]  each time vomiting occurs [for a child, use ½ the adult dose].  If the charcoal is vomited, give another dose immediately. Always follow the dose of charcoal with a full glass of water. 

TAKE ACTIVATED CHARCOAL FOR LIVER AND KIDNEY DISEASE TREATMENT.

Charcoal is beneficial for the treatment of kidney or liver failure. Give the oral charcoal dose to enhance the elimination of toxins from the body and then apply the poultice to the location of the kidney at the mid back and abdomen for liver disorders 

CURING INTESTINAL GAS OR BLOATING WITH  ACTIVATED CHARCOAL

There are several ways to sprout grains and each uses a different tool. The most common tools are bags, jars, trays, and tubes. 

Bags sprouting: Sprouting bags are made from hemp or nylon mesh. The fine weave of the fabric means that you can use the bag to Sprout seeds of any kind; the bag’s porous nature makes drainage easy. All you have to do is to hang the bag.

Jars sprouting. To keep the seeds in the jar as you rinse and drain, secure a fine mesh screen (nylon screen works best and is easiest to clean, but cheesecloth works well, too) over the opening, either with the screw-on ring that comes with most jars or with a thick rubber band. 

Tray sprouting. Tray sprouters are made of plastic, with plastic bottoms and plastic-mesh bottoms cover. All that mesh makes draining with a tray sprouter fairly easy. Because tray sprouter are stackable, they are great if you want to grow a lot of sprouts, or a few different crops at once. 

Tubes sprouting. The tube method allows for air circulation and easy draining because there is a screen lid on either end. 

Soaking sprouts. Dry seeds are dormant, so you must soak them to wake them up. You can never use too much water for soaking, but different varieties of seeds do absorb different amounts of water. Most seeds should be soaked for an average of 8 to 12 hours; some require more, others less. After your grain has soaked, run your fingertips over any seeds floating on the surface to see if they will sink. If they don’t skim them off and throw them away. Pour the seeds into your sprouting jar and cover it with the straining mesh.

Turn the jar upside down and at an angle so that excess water can drain and air can circulate. Place the jar in a bowl to catch the water. Keep it out of direct light and ideally at a temperature between 68 to 75°F.  Every 12 hours or so, pour water into the jar and swirl it to evenly rinse all the grains. Pour off the water and invert the jar.
